I've had two excellent experiences at the Small Boat Shop in Norwalk:
www.thesmallboatshop.com
Small store (but they have a warehouse full of boats a few blocks
away.) They are on the water and you can paddle from their dock. They
are a small, family-run business.
The only only ties I have to them are the money we've paid for two
boats.
