NYCkayaker Adventures NYC event - June 14 - human powered boating

Greetings;

The NYC Dept of Parks and Recreation is holding its annual Adventure NYC 
event in Central Park on Saturday June 14.  Based on attendance in past 
years, approximately 25,000 people should show up this year if the 
weather is good.  As part of this event, the Downtown Boathouse will be 
running a free kayaking program in the Central Park Lake between 12pm 
and 4pm.  We think that we have enough boats, paddles, lifejackets, and 
other gear, to run the show, but if we don't, I'll post a note here in a 
few days asking for help.

If you run a human-powered boating operation in NYC, please feel free to 
show up and tell everybody about what you do.  The NYC Dept of Parks and 
Recreation would like to have a wide variety operations attending - 
including those that charge a fee.  If you want to have your own table 
and chairs, please reply to me via the backchannel, and I'll put you 
touch with the right people at Parks.  Alternatively, you can come along 
with us and share our space on an informal basis.  All are welcome.
