NYCkayaker strobe light discussion revisited

A few weeks ago there was a long discussion about the proper use of strobe
lights.  During much of Captains and Paddlers Day there was a videotape
running and we have received permission from the coast guard to post the
video.  It puts the discussion in context, and also gives a nice sense of
what the day is like in general.

Again, this was an important day and the conversation is continuing (not
just about strobes but between Captains and Paddlers).  NY Waterways was not
able to send a representative to the event, but has invited us to a follow
up meeting on June 12.   Also, a number of companies, including New York
Water Taxi, Statue Cruises and Circle Line Tours have offered paddlers a
view of what a kayaker looks like from their vessel's wheelhouse.   Sign up
