Dori Cohen contacted the Dredgers and I'm passing along to the list.  She seeks to interview people with years of experience on New York's waterways and I thought a few of you might be interested in becomming a film star?

I am a documentary film student at the New School. I am talking an intensive summer workshop and have to create a short piece for the class. I have been considering the topic of New York City's waterways and would like to get stories from people that have been navigating the waterways for many years and have been involved in the revitalizing efforts. 

I am looking for volunteers for interviews and perhaps to go on a kayak ride with. This would be a short piece so it wouldn't take up to much of people's time. Since it is a part of a intensive summer workshop I would need to start filming in the upcoming weeks (even next week, if possible). 

This would most likely only be viewed within the confines of my workshop but I would have to get release forms signed ,and I suppose there is always a chance that it could go beyond the classroom.
