Richard, 

A friendly comment. Please understand, as much as I appreciate  your
knowledge of law when it comes to kayaking, I find this post on gun control
laws completely off-topic, not even remotely related to paddling, which is
what this forum is about. Imagine if everyone on NYCKayaker thread decided
to inundate this thread with their own favorite links to their own favorite
causes, hobbies, interests, news events.... This is not directed at you
alone, as there are others who also tend to go over the line ad violate the
intentions of this thread. If I was interested in the Second Amendment, then
I would be on the gun owners thread or the gun haters thread. But honestly,
would you like me to send you info on my other interests outside of
kayaking? Off-topic posts are akin to spam. It is just junk that fills up my
mailbox. Maybe not junk to you, but to me. So let's be courteous of one
another on this thread and try to keep to relevant paddling topics.
