NYCkayaker Administrivia: light staff here for the next week

We're going to go play in various rivers in West Virginia.   There
will be no barges, no supertankers, no powerboats to dodge...however,
there will be close encounters with the New River's Keeney Brothers
(Upper, Middle and Lower), described by the late William Nealy as "what
some thought would happen if they sailed off the edge of the world"
and -- if we get some rain -- with a beautiful section of the Meadow
River including "Wet Your Pants", named for the reaction it provokes
in some paddlers who are about to run it for the first time.

Play nice while we're gone or you may suffer the cruel fate reserved for
those who make the tactical error of falling asleep around the campfire
