NYCkayaker Harriman Stae Park

I'd almost jumped immediately on this question with a "No no no, we're very friendly, just come say hi!" - but thought it would be better to let the folks who are up there every weekend say so instead. I'm still somewhat of a newbie there!

I think the only Sebago Canoe Club events at Lake Sebago where you'd run into anything but a the-more-the-merrier welcome would be the BCU training sessions we offer a few times during the summer.

The schedule for those is:

At Lake Sebago, Star 1 is set for Saturday, June 21
Star 2 July12th and 13th
Star 3 July 26th and July 27th

You don't need to be a club member to join those, but it's a far more structured program, there is a fee & preregistration is required. If you saw one of those in process, they can look pretty intense - the weekly skills sessions are a lot more relaxed!

But even weekends where we're running those, there are generally a few other people just hanging out having fun (well, not that the training sessions aren't fun, just a different kind of fun).

And btw, as long as I'm plugging the club - anybody interested in checking the place out, we've got an Open House on May 24th - and that really is a more the merrier thing! Full info, plus a calendar, over on the Sebago website - www.sebagocanoeclub.org
