NYCkayaker Village Community Boathouse, pier 40--opening day!

Just a quick note to let all of you know that the old Floating the Apple
operation on Pier 40 has reorganized under the new name of Village Community
Boathouse. (FTA has moved operations to a new boathouse on Pier 84, at the
end of 44th Street). Same free community rowing in five-person Whitehall
rowing gigs, same people running the show, but different governance
structure and new expanded programming.

Opening day is today, with first community rowing session beginning at 5:30.
