NYCkayaker Lights... I'm going back to Kenya

Thought I wouldn't chime in on the light issue, but I've had it....

When I was in Kenya this winter I was on Kilifi Bay and in the Indian Ocean
at night. Small boats don't even have lights. The dugouts don't have lights,
the sailing dhows don't have lights, but everyone seems to manage without a
million rules and regs. Of course, if I go back to Kenya I will bring my
lights.... I'd hate to hit a croc at night and go under. But that's my
choice. Of course the USA isn't Kenya.

Oh well.... In the meantime, I am going to design some high-powered LED
lights that can be mounted on my deck lines. Red and green up and down the
deck line. One click of the switch will turn them on. Another click will
make them blink slowly and another click will make them blink rapidly.
Wonder if I could market this. (Yes, I'll still have my white light on the
stern, and my larger green and red light on the bow, but I'll be lit up like
a Christmas tree when needed.)
