NYCkayaker Pralls Island tree planting

Ahoy'all,

When Pralls Island was aggressively cut a year or two ago in a Draconian defense against the Asian longhorn beetle, many people on the list were upset.

I noticed that volunteers are needed to plant new trees there on Saturday. Part of MillionTreesNYC, to which I was tipped off by Earth Day NY for NatureCalendar.com.

Might be a good and fun opportunity to see the island and help its ecological recovery?
