Your mixing 2 problems?
& trying to solve them with one solution. 



Problem 1- cold feet. Solution wool socks inside the dry
socks. A thin pair inside a thicker pair should keep your feet warm.



Problem 2-save the dry socks. Solution get a pair of felt
sole wading boots to wear over the dry socks. If you search on line you can
find them for $50 to $150. For a cheaper solution get a pair of water shoes.
