I am pleased to announce that the Hudson River Valley Greenway has
survived the budget crisis and will continue as an independent state
agency.  I want to thank all of you who expressed your support for the
Greenway programs and staff.  It was greatly appreciated.  

As part of our continuing efforts to support and promote the Hudson
River Greenway Water Trail we are planning a Paddle trip to celebrate
the water trail and the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial.  

The Paddle will begin in Fort Edward on August 3 and is scheduled to
conclude in Manhattan August 17, 2009.  

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.  Thank
you and I hope to see you on the water this summer!
