NYCkayaker Pesky Automatic Door Locks

In the name of safety it is amazing how regulated our society is increasingly becoming. While I wear a PFD 99.9% of the time on the water I do so because I have a self preservation complex. 
I also make sure it's fitted properly so that when I do go over, it actually does what it's suppose to do instead of sliping off over my head.

PS Oh, and those pesky door locks? It actually gets me mad every time I turn on my car, start to drive, and I hear all the door locks go "THUK!" Even more so when I stop, get out, and go to a rear door and attempt to open it and find out "Dam! Locked!" 
But I do appreciate our benevolent masters discontinuing the automatic seat belts. Thank you.
