I did part of the Rideau Canal once and it was really nice, and fun to paddle in the locks.

It is 125 miles of easy stillwater kayaking with beautiful heritage towns (B&B's available) and lock s (camping available) all along the way, islands, etc. There is an excellent site about the canal, that includes complete detailed charts for paddling. http://www.rideau-info.com/canal/paddling/index.html RaNae Merrill www.ranaemerrillquilts.com
