Hello Trip Lovers !

Record Spring Low Water for the Delaware Trip.
Watch for a trip TBD in Summer after a heavy rain.

Saturday, May 11th - Beginners OK
Mullica River/Pine Barrens Trip. 
Transport Creek Boats by Trailer to Rte. 206, Atsion, NJ.
Approximate 2.5 mile drive from GWB
Launch at 10:00 AM. Travel to Pleasant Mills. 
Roughly 12-13 miles one way (shuttle).
Pack a SMALL drybag with water, lunch & extra non-cotton clothes. 
Best creek in the Pine Barrens!

Saturday May 18th - Beginners OK
Chodikee Lake/Norrie State Park Trip.
Approximate 1 hr. from TZB
Launch 9:00 AM.
Great wildlife area with beaver dams, waterfall & nice swimming hole.
If time allows an afternoon to evening trip to Norrie & Esopus Island.
Bring water & lunch.

Saturday, June 8th - Intermediate to advanced only.
Sedge Islands/Barnegat Lighthouse Trip. 
2 hrs. drive from GWB.
Transport Seakayaks by Trailer to Island Beach State Park.
Roughly 10 miles round trip.
Launch 10:00 AM -  Return 5:00 PM.
Great Birding - 30 nesting Ospreys, Tour the Lighthouse - amazing view.
Lunch at Old Barney Seafood House.

July - Watch for special posting of Fireworks Trip To Haverstraw, NY.

Saturday July 6th Intermediate to advanced only.
Plum Point New Windsor to Annsville 
1 hr. from Yonkers, NY.
Launch 10:00 AM. with tide.
Approximate 15 mile, one way trip with tide (shuttle back).
See Bannerman's Is., Hudson River Highlands. Stop at Conn Hook. Possible Popolopen Gorge Stop time permitting.
Arrive Annsville early eve. Optional Restaurant Dining

Saturday August 3rd
Popolopen/Peekskill Fireworks Trip - Beginners OK (if paired with assistant).
Launch from Annsville Paddlesport Center  9:00 AM. 
2 Crossings of the Hudson - Aproximate round trip 8-10 miles.
Best waterfall & swimming hole on the Hudson! Great photo ops.!
Hang out at the Festival! Bring $ for food & drink..
Watch the Fireworks from your Kayak! (Lights Required).
Return after Fireworks 10:30 PM. (Don't worry - Safe return)

Saturday, September 7th
Wallkill River Trip - Beginners OK (Plastic Creek/WW/Small SK is best).
Approximate1.25 hr. drive from TZB
Launch 9:00 AM  8 miles one way with shuttle.
Only river in the metro area that flows north (Sparta, NJ to Rondout Creek - then into Hudson at Kingston!)
Expect Blowdowns to haul over.
Wildlife Sanctuarys, farms and Pleasant Scenery. 

Saturday, October 19th 
Delaware River Fall Foliage Trip - Intermediate to advanced (Plastic Creek Boat/Sea Kayak advised).
DON'T BRING A WHITE WATER BOAT !
Approximate 2 hrs. drive from TZB
Launch Lackawaxen, PA , down river 22 miles to Sparrowbush, NY.
One way with shuttle.
Class 1 & 2 rapids, Learn how to read the river.
Lots of Bald Eagles & Great Scenery.

ALL TRIPS REQUIRING TRAILERING OF BOATS WILL GIVE YPRC MEMBERS FIRST OPTION.

ANYONE INTERESTED TO RETURN TO MULLICA RIVER ON OCT 26th & 27th FOR AN OVERNIGHT CAMPING TRIP AT THE MULLICA RIVER WILDERNESS CAMPSITE?
